I love music! It's my life. I am a percussionist. I play the marimba and
snare drum. I learned how to play the timpani, congas, bongos and other instruments as well including the piano. I started
playing music in the band my senior year of high school. I didn't know anything, so I had to self teach myself everything.
My friend got me involved in the band. I continued to play percussion in college which was where I took 3 years of lessons.
I chose percussion because my friend said it would be easy and I didn't own any instruments.
I got bored one day and looked in the career books under music. I saw music production and recording
which sounded interesting. I checked it out and liked it. So that's where I am today. I also love to write songs. I'm not
that good yet. But the more you write the better you get. I've been writing for at least 5-6 years off and on. A few
songs I wrote the lyrics to are: Angel, The Greatest Gift, Addiction, Dreaming, and MissingYou.
A few pieces I have played on the marimba include: Galloping Comedians (duet with
2 mallets), Der Wanderer (4 mallet solo) by: N.J. Zivkovic, Sprska igra (4 mallet solo) by:
N.J Zivkovic and Whispering Woods (4 mallets) by: William Schinstine. Whispering Woods was
my first 4 mallet piece I ever played. I played that my second semester of college.
